Whether you want to show people where you've been, tell them about your company's international investments, display geographical statistics, or wrap your own image around a sphere, the Interactive Globe component is for you. With built-in Point of Interest support, it's easy to add customized pegs to the surface of the sphere. When a user clicks on a point of interest, a Sprite containing details appears next to the point of interest.

This component is XML configurable, which means that you don't even need a Flash editor to use it. You can simply embed the compiled SWF in an HTML page and customize it via the included 'InteractiveGlobeConfig.xml' file.

The Interactive Globe component package comes with ASDoc documentation that covers every editable property in full detail. It also includes a Quickstart.fla example to get you up and running as quickly as possible. The sample SWF seen above is also included in this package. This demo SWF can be used as a full editor to produce and update XML configuration files.

Please see the Features tab for a full list of component features. The Help & Support tab also contains a sample XML configuration file.

  • Embeded swf in HTML page and works great in Firefox, but is jittery in IE. I also get a purple circle or green circle when it loads in Firefox. Any thoughts? What code did you use to embed the swf? I am using the XML file to configure it.
